Second stage of NANODAK has been completed
In the second stage of scientific research the parameters of nanodetector models in the form of suspensions, such as: stability, viscosity, surface tension, and the thickness of the layer covering fingerprints were assessed. Research on nanodetector models was conducted in nearly real conditions. The luminescence of nanodetectors was activated with dedicated LED light sources. The best rated nanodetector models were listed and as result prototypes were proposed. Research related to the application of nanodetoctor models and their technical collection was conducted. That had led to selection of applicators for applying nanodetectors to the substrates and let to choose forms of collecting the fingerprints revealed by nanodetectors. Environmental studies of the possible harmfulness of nanodetectors for people were also conducted.
Testing of nanodetector models in nearly real conditions have shown that used tehnology is efficient. The environmental research report confirmed that the technology is safe for human use. This means that the level of technological readiness required at this stage has been achieved.
Further planned activities include the testing of nanodetector prototypes under operating conditions.

Article published in „NANOMATERIALS” journal
In the 10/2020 issue of the scientific, interdisciplinary „Nanomaterials” journal the article „A Review of Microwave Synthesis of Zinc Oxide Nanomaterials: Reactancts, Process Parameters and Morphologies” autorship Jacek Wojnarowicz (PhD), Tadeusz Chudoba (PhD) and Prof. Witold Łojkowski, was published.
The study reviews the state of the art in the field of microwave synthesis of ZNO NMs. The first part of the review presents the properties of ZnO and new applications of ZnO NMs. Subsequently, the properties of microwave heating are discussed and compared with conventional heating are presented. The final part of the paper presents reactants, parameters of processes, and the morphology of products.
The article was funded by the Polish National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR), grant number: DOB-BIO9/08/01/2018, project “The detection of latent fingerprints with the use of nanoparticles produced using high pressure technologies” (acronym NANODAK).

First stage of NANODAK has been completed
The first stage of the “NANODAK” project has been completed on schedule. The research team developed a verification methodology of the components of nanodetectors and based on it carried out studies on the suitability of nanoparticles in revealing latent fingerprint. The obtained results allowed the optimization of nanodetector technology. As part of the stage, LED light sources have been designed to stimulate luminescence (fluorescence) of nanoparticles.

International Scientific-Practical Conference In Yerevan
